Pretty paints and the final DIY outcome!

Remember my post here with the pretty paints? Well this is what I did with them and how they turned out! Pretty don't you think!?

Step 1. Take of all the labels off the glass jars with warm soapy water

Step 2. Pour paint into the inside of the jars and removing any excess paint

Step 3. Let them dry

Step 4. Decorate them with pretty flowers!

Metallic Crepe Paper Flowers: Fabulous Anytime!

These metallic crepe paper flowers are simple to make and yet look great, singly or in a bouquet. Use them in your Succah, on your fall table or to brighten up your home this winter!
You'll Need: 

• Metallic Crepe Paper
• Floral Wire (or any medium weight wire you have on hand)
• Beaded trim (optional)

Note: You can use just about any crepe or tissue paper for this project, though heavy crepe paper (made for paper flower making) works the best as it holds its shape! In Israel this paper is widely available in silver, gold, bronze and creme and is called "niyar l'prachim." A friend of mine did locate some in Brooklyn, but it's not as widely available in the United States for some strange reason. (Especially given the vast quantity of art supplies that are available!)

Fall's Needle Felted Harvest

Prior to felting...

Not sure why my days have been so short. I could have used that extra hour every day (and then some). I shipped out lots of work to the guild shop and have made another "Urban Monster" (Yoga Monster) I will post images of her on the next post. I did make the above bag over the last couple of days and was playing with a different design to shake things up and keep life interesting, because, you know, life is neverinteresting (yes, sarcasim). I really like it. It is very wearable and functional with pockets in and out. It is c-1/Pelsull and the top layer is corriedale. I am oddly attached to this one, perhaps it will remain mine or it will be gifted to someone special.

I am getting materials and equipment ready for my artist in residency and received my roll of bubble wrap today! Glad it is not raining!
